Comic Con Portugal 2024 celebrates its 10th anniversary

The tenth edition of Comic Con Portugal opens on Thursday with ten stages at the Exponor in Portugal. Matosinhosand promises four days of entertainment for 160,000 people, the organizers announced today.

This year marks an important milestone for Comic Con Portugal, which celebrates its tenth anniversary. With ten stages planned, this event promises to be one of the biggest in its history. The organizers are confident that the venue will be able to safely accommodate the large number of visitors expected.

The event's executive director, Paulo Rocha Cardoso, told a press conference that the entire design of the event has been thought out to offer a unique experience to participants. Every detail has been carefully considered to convey a strong message, as this special edition celebrates a decade of shared memories and adventures.

The event has always been a challenge for the organizing team, but with the theme "Sê o que tu quiseres" ("Be what you want"), they hope to offer an unforgettable experience for all participants.

the event kicks off at noon on Thursday and runs until March 24. Although the full program has not yet been finalized, prestigious guests such as Raymond Lee, Anna Shaffer, Evanna Lynch, Ed Westwick, André Lamoglia, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Finn Jones have been announced.

In addition to celebrities, the event will feature many renowned artists and writers, offering fans an immersive experience in popular culture.

Since its first edition in 2013, Comic Con Portugal has captured the hearts of pop culture fans. After being hosted in Matosinhos for four editions, the event moved to Oeiras in 2018 before returning to Matosinhos this year.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it has continued to thrive, successfully adapting to new conditions with online events in 2020 and physical editions in 2021 and 2022.

This year promises to be an unforgettable celebration of popular culture, bringing together fans from all walks of life to celebrate their shared passion for superheroes, science fiction and more.
