Obidos medieval market arrives in July
This year marks a return to the ten-day format, offering an extended immersion in the medieval atmosphere. Unlike previous editions, which ran from Thursday to Sunday, this decision was taken by the town council and organizers to create optimal conditions and guarantee an authentic medieval experience for all visitors.
One of the new features of this year's event is a market dedicated to wool. Highlighting the importance of pastoralism in the Middle Ages, this market will showcase the use of wool, skin and milk derivatives. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in medieval craftsmanship and discover the raw materials that shaped this era.
Religion, gastronomy and medieval entertainment
The market is more than just an exhibition. It will also focus on the power of religion in the Middle Ages, exploring all its secular aspects through daily entertainment and a gastronomic offering worthy of the era.
