Mochila Festival brings music and theater to 10 Faro venues in May
Organized by the company LAMA TeatroThe Festival is a celebration of creativity for children and young people. Over the course of ten days, the city will become the stage for 20 artistic performances, as well as stimulating workshops and debates.
This international children's and youth theater event will bring together renowned artists and companies such as Lena D'Água, Formiga Atómica, teatromosca, Catarina Requeijo and Noiserv. They will take over ten of the city's most emblematic venues, offering audiences a captivating plunge into the world of art.
Among the highlights of this year's editionThese include the "Biblioteca Futuro" creative workshop led by Manuel Henriques, and the eponymous show for all audiences. The debate on the role of the arts and arts education in the retention of young people in the Algarve will also be a highlight of the event.
The artistic program promises to be rich and varied, with theater performances such as "Viagem" by João Costa/Mãozorra, "Água! Gastas? by LAMA Teatro's Estojo - Laboratório Pedagógico project, and "Cordão" by Fértil Cultural.
In addition to local performances, the event opens its doors to the international scene with the participation of foreign companies such as the Spanish company Cia. Enlaire, Catalan dancer Joan Català, and Madrid company Trocos Lucosgiving the event an international dimension.
The event closes with a concert by Lena D'Água at Teatro Lethes, followed by a DJ set by Discossauro (Miguel Neto) at Baile Tropical, an event for all generations.
